One of the most rewarding elements of the journey I am taking is being witness to others living their dreams.
This past week Wylie and Shaun made the now familiar trek to Montreal to shoot video for an episode of MMA Unplugged – a segment where W-1 fighters, coaches and trainers are filmed and interviewed to give fans a behind the scenes look at the world of mixed martial arts.
Wylie was completely in his element filming the fighters training as well as the interviews with the fighters and their trainers. Over the course of the weekend, Wylie’s level of excitement only continued to rise with new camera equipment purchases, meeting George St. Pierre and realizing that his dreams were now a reality.
Only eight months ago he was driving cab and teaching mixed martial arts wishing that he could design full time.
Today, Wylie not only designs full time but he is now the Media Coordinator for all of the dreamstoreality.ca companies and our business partners. This means he completes all design work from logos and business cards to websites and marketing and advertising materials.
He is also responsible for all video and photo components for all companies – actually completing the video and photo shoots, editing and incorporating the final product into the marketing structure. He has taken on the responsibility of all web based media, live streaming of events and now works with a team to ensure flawless integration and implementation of all components.

In addition to all the work, Wylie has enjoyed the perks of travelling to Montreal and Las Vegas, meeting MMA stars on a personal level, attending events with VIP status, purchasing new camera and computer equipment and oh yes, a new Jeep!
However it’s definitely not the perks that seem to make this all so surreal for Wylie – it’s really about following his dream and the hard work, long hours and constant learning he’s done to get himself to this point. He has thrown himself into this business with a “do whatever it takes and whatever is necessary” attitude and is only just beginning to show the world what he is capable of.
