I am obviously a big fan of Wylie Ford – I am amazed by his creativity and thoroughly enjoy working with him every day.  For nearly a year now, I have been telling everyone about this diamond in the rough that we managed to secure as a business partner and how absolutely incredible he is.  It seems though, that in the Ford house, Wylie is just another Ford brother and that these exceptional characteristics are quite common.

We decided a few months ago to recruit Wylie’s youngest brother Jarrett, who is a Steady Cam Operator and Videographer in B.C. for our most recent W-1 event, Judgement Day.  Jarrett’s role was to film the behind the scenes footage of the entire event week and to work the camera for Fox Sports’ Jay Adams during our media day interviews.  As a professional, he was absolutely amazing and our entire team fell in love with him from day one.  We definitely look forward to using his services at future events and even expanding his role wherever possible.

Next we have Devlin, who, for the most part, comes to the events to support us and the W-1 Organization and to provide entertainment.  Devlin makes his living as a Technical Engineer for Technicolor but is one of those guys that seems to know something about everything and is always wiling to share his expertise or help out in any way.  As Wylie and I took over the design and management of the new W-1 website (www.w1mma.com) it was Devlin who took the initiative to check it out often and provide us with constructive feedback. 

If any one of these brothers is amazing on their own (and they all are), you should see them work together as a team.  At W-1 Judgement Day they went above and beyond their designed roles and helped out with music, trouble shooting of technical issues, and even lugged beer for the event itself.  Through all the work and craziness they were so full of energy and spirit – like a little band of leprechauns! 

So it seems Wylie Ford, that the gig is up – although you will always be special to me, it is your parents who I must thank for raising three incredible men who have made (and will continue to make) my professional dreams achievable and my personal life a lot more fun!
