Jarrett Ford is living proof that making your dreams come true takes work, flexibility, and true desire. 

If you’re a regular dreamstoreality.ca follower, you probably already know Jarrett’s story and how he came to be part of the Dreamstoreality.ca Group of Companies, but as anyone who has ever followed their dreams will tell you, it’s about evolution and the transitions from one place to another that make the journey exciting. 

The concept for WestRock Productions Inc. came when Jarrett was living in B.C.  An avid snowboarder, Jarrett literally hit a rock, injuring himself.  No longer able to snowboard the same way, Jarrett took to filming while he was riding; something that was less taxing on his body and filled the gap of excitement.  After attending BCIT and working on some film sets, Jarrett made the trip to Ontario to further pursue his dream nearly a year ago. 

In the past year, Jarrett has extended his skills behind the camera, focusing on video editing, script writing, and directing, as well as operating the steady cam – he has truly become a one-man production company from start to finish. 

Although his dream remains to one-day operate a steady cam full-time, he’s making the most of the opportunities in front of him and developing skills that will set him apart from other operators.  With a greater understanding of how a set works and experience in every aspect of the production process, Jarrett’s vision and skills have made him indispensable to the Dreamstoreality.ca Group of Companies and unique in the highly competitive film industry. 

Jarrett is that reminder to everyone that making your dreams a reality is possible, but you must want it, work for it and go where it takes you. 

Jarrett is also quite comfortable in front of the camera – filming his vlogs with enthusiasm and an unabashed sense of humour.
