Dream: Build her "dream home"

Congratulations to our Win an iPad contest winner Bridget!  Bridget shared her dream of building her “dream home” with us and won an iPad 2.

When asked to elaborate on her dream home, Bridget wasted no time providing us with the details.  She has clearly put a lot of thought into her dream and it sounds like an absolutely incredible home.  Bridget is an inspiration to all of us who know that dreaming is believing.

Bridget’s Dream Home

Location: Shore of a local lake, treed lot

Technical Details: Well provided with natural and artificial light and an in-ground pump system for heating and cooling.

Exterior Details: Level driveway, set back from the street.   The home itself is “L” shaped, all one level.

Interior Details: The master bedroom and ensuite would be located at the end of the “L”.  Next to the master bedroom is Bridget’s paint studio and beside her studio is the laundry room, which would then lead to the kitchen.

The kitchen/dining room would start off the long portion of the “L” with a sunroom then leading onto the patio.  Next would be the living room, then the guest bedroom with ensuite.

Bridget loves the concept of this layout because it would allow Bridget and her guests to enjoy the kitchen/living area without disturbing anyone who might be in the other (bed) room.

The area inside the “L” would be on the sunny side of the house and include a paved courtyard with raised gardening beds, at waist height for easier working and weeding.

Bridget would love to work with an architect to help build her dream home – ideally someone who is sympathetic to Fung Shui.

This is a wonderful dream and we certainly hope it becomes your reality!
