Dreaming Is Believing

MacBlog2.jpgHave you ever found yourself in need of a fresh start? Perhaps you didn’t even know you needed it – but when it came, you knew it’s exactly what you were waiting for.

A fresh start is invigorating; it renews motivation and passion. A fresh start provides clarity and focus and productivity.

So what is a fresh start and how do you know when you need one?

I recently experienced a fresh start. What amazed me is that the feelings I described above happened in an instant. One moment I felt frustrated, bogged down, negative and unmotivated and the next…. well I’m sitting here blogging with a smile on my face – my “to do” list is full and I can’t wait to tackle it.

For me, the fresh start was releasing the past. It was letting go of an on-going battle and moving forward.

By nature, I’m a happy person. I like to smile. Some might say smiling is my favourite (if you don’t know what I’m referring to you definitely need to see the movie Elf – multiple times). I love to feel motivated and, believe it or not, I love to work hard! I feel exhilarated when I’m up all hours of the night working on a project or turning my computer back on because a moment of creativity hits me.

I am ruled by my emotions and can quite easily admit to getting tied up in the negative, frustrating situations. I must have a resolution to a situation and see forward progress in order to move on. In business, resolutions are not usually instant and moving forward is often a relative term.

For me, having a definitive resolution and truly moving forward is something to celebrate. I feel alive again. I feel capable of dealing with situations that are at a standstill and have clarity on how to make decisions without 100% resolution.

To answer my earlier questions – a fresh start can be something small but powerful and you might not know you need it until it happens.

Keep smiling~
