Starting our own business has meant doing a lot of work with a very small team.  The reality is, when you first start out, the resources are limited even though the work may be plentiful.  As the work continues to grow, the resources to recruit the right people may not grow as quickly and we have definitely found ourselves in the “overworked” category for a while now.  

Being overworked while following your dreams doesn’t feel like being overworked; it feels like success!  As our business has grown so has my motivation and the realization that we are actually doing this – we are actually making our dreams happen!

I am proud to say, that we are now at the point where our team is expanding.  In addition to Shaun, Wylie and I, we have recruited some new bodies to the dreamstoreality.ca team:

Devlin Ford – Quality Control
Yes we’ve brought in Wylie Ford Brother #1 to perform Quality Control on our websites.  Devlin’s attention to detail, energy and professionalism are unparalleled not to mention his desire to be a part of the Dreams’ Team.  I see Devlin’s role expanding on a daily basis, mostly because he is an amazing asset and mostly because he is constantly coming up with ideas and doing things that make him indispensible.   

Christie Connors – Administrator
Christie landed her role with Dreams through good all fashioned hard work.  She volunteered as a Fighter Rep at our last W-1 event and immediately shocked us all.  This quiet, playful, innocent-looking girl took charge and made things happen.  She has a great mind for business, exudes professionalism and shows what taking initiative and teamwork really means.  

Nicole Barbour – Operations Manager
Nicole and I go way back with respect to our working relationship, having worked together in our previous jobs.  Nicole’s role with Dreams is very similar to the one she had when we worked together – she is my right hand, my left-brain and my go to.  Her organizational skills are unparalleled and she excels at scheduling, planning and implementing.  She is, without doubt, one of the hardest working people I have ever met and believes in doing everything to the fullest of her abilities.  

Jarrett Ford – Title TBD
Not to be outdone by his older brother Wylie, Jarrett has requested his own blog to be officially introduced into the Dreams’ Team.  Watch for the latest Constructive Chaos Blog to learn more about Jarrett and how he came to be in our Dreams’ Team.

So it seems we are on our way to building a strong, passionate and eager Team; all working together to share the workload and make even more dreams a reality…now if we can just find someone to help Shaun, we’d really be in business.
