Road Trip

A business road trip is an amazing way to build bonds (teambuilding), create clarity of business goals and objectives and maybe even have a little fun.  A trip to RT Natural Energy in Stanstead, Quebec is exactly that – only fun would definitely be at the top of the list.

Shaun, Wylie and I made the eight hour drive to Stanstead this past week to check out a new headquarters for RT, work out a marketing strategy and hammer out the details to finalize the website design.

FightPic5x7_2.jpgThe first thing I noticed about the trip was that it was the “Three Musketeers” once again!  Our team has grown and I truly love and appreciate all our team members, but Dreams started with the three of us and the trip reminded me of all the hours, weeks and months we spent together building the foundation for what we all have today.  It was an awesome bonding experience for us to chill and enjoy each other’s company without the fast-paced office life and discuss business on a more casual and relaxed level.

When we planned the trip to RT, I expected a fast-paced, work, work, work experience aimed to get down to business and be productive.  This expectation was built on our last trip to RT but also on the fact that the business is at a crucial point where we need to act now and take advantage of the interest in our unique and exciting business!

The experience was quite the opposite – Paul & Elaine (our RT business partners) IMG_5203.jpghad some exciting activities planned for us; we visited many, many, many granite dump sites (something Wylie has developed a passion for), we enjoyed the wonderful spring weather and the great outdoors and even conquered some fears (well, Paul & Wylie did anyways).  We (Shaun, Wylie and Paul) had a few drinks and we (Shaun) enjoyed Elaine’s incredible meal plan (in fact Shaun hasn’t eaten a thing since we returned lol).

We did manage to get in some business, but we were productive about it and enjoyed the process and I am confident in saying that we are all motivated with the direction RT Natural Energy is taking – we’re going to accomplish HUGE things and that is a truly amazing feeling!

Keep smiling~
Mac

P.S. Wylie thoroughly documented the trip through art (photography) – check out the photos!!
