Year Two

If the first year of business is about building a strong foundation, then the second year of business is about developing the framework for success.

Now that we have a strong base of business partners (both new and existing businesses) our focus has shifted to improving business strategies and developing well-planned marketing and sales plans. In both cases, the sky is the limit.

IMG_3233.jpg Here is the amazing thing about having control of your business – you can make it anything you want!  By reviewing the structure of the business, you can develop strategies that support current operations, and the potential for growth, all while implementing those little things that can really make a difference.

My first and foremost priority is always customer service – internal and external.  If you can answer the question “what can we do to set ourselves apart from a service standpoint?” and then actually do it, you’re well on your way to success.  It’s an opportunity to get creative and really make a difference for your potential clients and your team.

Now I know that a marketing or sales strategy doesn’t sound like something thatIMG_3230.jpg could be fun, but it is!  There is a certain pressure that rests on you when you are responsible to come up with ideas that could potentially make or break the financial success of your business.  At the same time, you can channel all the passion and excitement that you have for your dream (in this case your business) and showcase that in a way that only you can.  You can engage potential clients by showing them your product through your eyes – and if you think it’s great, they will too!

IMG_8808 2.jpgIf this seems daunting, don’t be afraid, I haven’t got to the best part yet…your support.  In my case, I have an amazing team that I trust and respect.  I value each person’s own unique view on each of our businesses and encourage feedback and ideas.  We talk openly about business operations and our plans for each business and always welcome insight that our teammates may have.

I’d love to be able to tell you that I alone have come up with the greatest ideas I have ever seen implemented in business, but that’s just not true.  The best work I have ever been a part of has come from a collaboration of people – all-working together to achieve a final goal.

Keep smiling~
